"Glyk" means happiness in Yiddish, reflecting our mission to spread joy through our artisanal gelato. Our South Florida kosher gelato business was brought to life by our Founder and Maestro, Jaime, who chose the name to encapsulate the essence of this unique word. Through something as simple as Italian ice cream and our gelato carts, we hope to make both our community and the world a happier, better place—and now, we’re delighted to bring that happiness directly to your special events with our gelato catering in Florida.
How We Make Kosher Gelato for Weddings & Corporate Events
Glyk kosher gelato is handcrafted daily in small batches by local artisans in our South Florida kitchen. Each recipe uses all-natural ingredients and is meticulously developed from scratch by Maestro Jaime, ensuring every flavor tastes true to its name, scoops easily, and feels velvety smooth on the palate. This artisanal approach allows us to create any flavor we can imagine! It also allows us to provide our clients with vegan, kosher, and pareve gelato that is a true delight in every single spoonful.
We use traditional Italian methods to create our own recipes and follow original techniques to craft both dairy and non-dairy gelato and paletas, ensuring a perfectly rich, smooth, and creamy finish. All our ingredients are kosher, and our facility is kosher certified by the ORB.
Our Event Dessert Catering: How It Started
About 10 years ago, Maestro Jaime embarked on a journey to Calabria, Italy, to learn the art of making authentic Italian artisanal gelato. Under the guidance of a local maestro, he was taken to a market and asked to choose any product to transform into gelato. Jaime chose sweet corn, a flavor reminiscent of his Mexican heritage. (Yes! Italian-style gelato made by Mexican Jews.) Upon returning home, he began crafting our now-signature flavor in his kitchen.
